Soden Collection is honoured to announce our participation in the 2025 British Art Fair, taking place from 24 to 27 September at the esteemed Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, London.
Soden Collection brings a bold and compelling presentation of painting, photography and sculpture to the British Art Fair at the Saatchi Gallery, uniting four distinctive artists through a shared sense of physical presence, movement and emotion.
Anchoring the entire stand is Into Dust, a monumental painting by Ian Rayer-Smith. Commanding in scale and alive with expressive energy, it sets the tone for the presentation: ambitious, instinctive and unapologetically powerful. Its layered surfaces and gestural marks invite closer looking, as forms emerge within the abstraction and slip away again.
Alongside it, Charles Eastwood’s photography offers a more intimate encounter. Exploring the male form through light, composition and atmosphere, his photographs draw attention to the body’s sculptural qualities. Fragments of the figure, moments of movement and carefully framed details create images that are at once sensual and quietly arresting. Presented as beautifully framed, limited-edition works, they reward the same close attention as the paintings and sculpture around them.
Complementing these works is sculpture by Halima Cassell MBE and Sharon Griffin MRSS, each bringing a powerful and unmistakable language to the stand. Cassell’s intricately carved forms combine geometric precision with extraordinary rhythm, their deep surfaces making light and shadow part of the sculpture itself. Griffin’s expressive clay figures offer an earthier, more instinctive presence. Raw, tactile and deeply human, they carry the marks of their making, holding vulnerability and strength in equal measure.
Together, these four artists create a presentation that moves from the monumental to the intimate—a stand with immediate visual impact and much to discover beyond the first impression.
