Jacob Chandler

The enhanced muscular form and definition of Calvin Royal coupled with his phenomenal talent as a dancer provided Chandler with a powerful source of inspiration. The facets capture the musculature of a classical Greco Roman Sculpture in Chandler’s signature angular motif. With arrow like limbs pointing into the ground, he aims to capture the aggressive intensity with which the male dancer attacks the floor in order to rebound with a lightness, signified by the slender points of contact. The piece has the dynamism and poetry of a matador and captures the dichotomy of both Poise and Strength.
